Kathy's Travels

For those back at home (and overseas) who want to follow me as I do as I please.

Before flying back home, we stopped off again in London to visit Daniel and Virginia. Apart from some rain, London was in good form, showing off the start of Spring.

It’s not long now until Martin comes all the way to Australia! Even though it will be winter, there will be plenty to do. Photos to come of Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory!

Also thank you to anyone who reads this that is still here reading even though I’ve been MIA for some time.

So the reason for my sneaky trip to Geneva: the meeting of the UNCRPD (United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities)

Here are some photos of my Dad and Jorge the secretary, and a photo of all the members of the committee! A group of very inspirational and hard-working people.

Some photos from our trip to Geneva! It was mostly raining and cold, but on the last few days the weather turned lovely, like spring should be.

Never have I enjoyed such a creative cocktail. Me and my friend went to this cocktail bar called The White Hart in Neutral Bay soon after my return. Here’s some pictures of the cocktail we ordered!

Next to the tea set was a book. When you open the book you find a bottled labelled poison containing absinthe and cloudy apple liquor.

Delicious!

So I left France and some very good friends behind. I love these people very much and this photo is one of my favourite photos from my whole trip!

I hope you enjoyed my Chinese and French ramblings. I have some more travel shots to come from my recent trip to Geneva, then it’s time for some Australian posts in July after me and Martin take on the great outback!

So on the last weekend of my exchange, me and Martin went to stay with my brother and his now fiancée in London. We had our last breakfast together in Notting Hill and went for a walk along Portobello road. It was lovely but tinged with sadness. I have seen him since our parting though, photos to come!

So my friend Nick who was on exchange in Spain (I think I made a blog post about my trip to Spain, yes?) came to visit me in Tours and we visited the Chateau Chenonceau. Isn’t it magical? Definitely my favourite castle I’ve visited during my stay in France’s castle region.

So during our weekend trip to Mont St Michel, Martin’s grandparents decided to celebrate my birthday! They took us out to dinner and bought me a birthday cake!

A trip to visit the grandparents at Mont St Michel <3

Moroccan post number two: The trip to Zagora!
